Prologis Green Bond

Green bonds are used to fund investments in environmentally friendly projects in accordance with our Green Bond Framework. Prologis announced the pricing of its first green bond on March 1, 2018, by one of its co-investment vehicles, Prologis European Logistics Fund (PELF).

Proceeds will fund investments in, or refurbishments of, properties, which have or will receive certain levels of LEED, DNGB, BREEAM, HQE or CASBEE certifications or result in environmentally beneficial improvements to boost energy and water efficiency or support renewable energy production, such as LED lighting, cool roofing, and rooftop solar installations.

LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) rating system for building sustainability standards in more than 150 countries. including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Italy and France.

BREEAM Certification

Prologis BREEAM-Accredited Warehouses

BREEAM, or Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method, is the sustainability rating system for buildings in over 75 countries, including those in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland.

HQE Certification

Prologis HQE-Certified Warehouses

HQE, or Hauté Qualite Environmentale, is the environmental evaluation and certification system for buildings in France.

DGNB Certification

DGNB

DGNB, or Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen, is the rating system used to assess the sustainability and environmental impact of buildings in Germany.

CASBEE Certification

CASBEE, Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency, is the Japanese system for evaluating and rating buildings’ environmental performance.

We did so for four of our regions in 2008 (Southern Europe, Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and the UK). Det Norske Vertas (DNV) extended this accreditation in 2011.
