For the fourth year in a row, Prologis is honored to again be named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI). DJSI is among the most recognized global ESG ratings, evaluating corporations across all industries.

Third-party ratings, ranking and awards provide validation of companies’ performance in a wide variety of areas of business, including sustainability. They allow investors, customers and employees to put the company’s performance in context. Prologis is proud of the honors we’ve received as we continue to invest our resources, time and talent to be a leader in the area of sustainable logistics building and operations.

In addition to the DJSI, we also recently received a “B” from CDP (the organization formerly known as the “Carbon Disclosure Project”) for our strong performance and approach to minimizing greenhouse gas emissions and managing climate risk. CDP’s assessment has become more rigorous and challenging over the years and we’re proud to have maintained our strong score by publicly disclosing our data for thorough evaluation, aligning with the CDP values of environmental transparency and action.

Year in Review

We’ve also earned strong 2022 scores from several real estate-specific organizations:

  • GRESB – the real estate industry’s benchmark assessment. Prologis was recognized for exceptional performance in ESG. For the seventh consecutive year, all Prologis funds received a GRESB Green Star.
  • NAREIT – an organization representing REITs and publicly traded real estate companies with an interest in U.S. real estate and capital markets. For the eleventh year in a row, Prologis was recognized as the Leader in the Light for the industrial sector.
  • USGBC – a non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in building design, construction, and operation. Prologis was selected to receive its Leadership Award for demonstrated vision, leadership and commitment to the evolution of the green building industry.

Additional noteworthy 2022 honors include Fortune magazine’s “World’s Most Admired Companies and high scores on several ESG ratings used most by institutional investors including MSCI, Sustainalytics, and the ISS ESG Rating. More information on ratings and awards may be found on our awards page.

Indicators for Action

Rating and rankings also provide independent guidance on areas where Prologis can continue to improve our disclosure and performance. While we’re proud of the recognition that individual ratings provide, we also see them as an opportunity to find ways to strengthen our programs. We analyze trends and opportunities across the many ratings and recognitions in the market to get a more holistic view of our performance and then identify opportunities for improvements or areas for further ESG integration across the business.

In 2022, these areas included supply chain sustainability and diversity initiatives, improving data coverage for customer energy use, and water and waste programs. As we enter the new year, members of our ESG team are collaborating with our colleagues and other stakeholders to learn from these ratings and turn them into actions that create greater value for our investors, customers and other stakeholders.
