Volunteerism & Charitable Giving

Prologis is committed to giving back to the communities where we do business. Through initiatives such as IMPACT Day and Space for Good, as well as contributions from the Prologis Foundation, we put our knowledge, resources and passion to make a difference in the areas of environment, education and community support.

IMPACT Day

Since 2013, IMPACT Day has been a defining part of our community support efforts. Named for our values of Integrity, Mentorship, Passion, Accountability, Courage and Teamwork, IMPACT Day is our annual day of service where employees from all over the globe come together to contribute to their communities, demonstrating their commitment to our promise to be a good neighbor.

In 2023, we celebrated the 11th anniversary of IMPACT Day with employees volunteering more than 10,821 hours on 82 projects to support local communities, including 19 projects with Habitat for Humanity.

OUR GLOBAL DAY OF SERVICE: IMPACT DAY 2023

Space for Good

Through our Space for Good program, we donate temporary, rent-free space in unoccupied parts of our logistics buildings to charitable organizations providing disaster relief or addressing short-term community needs. In 2021, in response to a range of crises around the world, we donated 1.2 million square feet of space worth $5.4 million in in-kind rent to 30 charities.

In 2021, Prologis and the Prologis Foundation made $4.7 million in contributions to organizations around the world. In the U.S., through our “Dollars for Doers” program, the Foundation matches employee donations and provides monetary support to organizations where employees volunteer.

The Prologis foundation

The Prologis Foundation donates to charitable organizations involved in education, the environment and community support. Through grants to nonprofits and our employee-led Dollars for Doers and matching donations programs, the Foundation donated a total of $11.2 million in 2020.

This year we directed much of the Foundation’s giving toward organizations addressing the urgent challenges of 2020 by creating a $5M Global COVID Relief Fund and designating more than $1M to charities fighting racial injustice.
