Prologis to Host GROUNDBREAKERS™ 2025 in Los Angeles

Published on

LOS ANGELES, April 21, 2025 Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD) announced today that Los Angeles will serve as the host city for GROUNDBREAKERSTM 2025 on September 30, 2025. GROUNDBREAKERSTM is Prologis’ flagship thought leadership forum, bringing together senior executives from the world’s most innovative companies to explore bold ideas and shape the future of business, infrastructure and sustainability.

The invitation-only event will convene approximately 300 leaders across logistics, supply chain, energy and technology for focused, forward-looking conversations that help define the next chapter of global commerce. The one-day conference will be livestreamed globally and complemented by a series of in-person salon dinners.

This year, Los Angeles—a city synonymous with international commerce, innovation and cultural influence—sets the stage for a world-class dialogue what’s driving excellence in the world of business today.

The forum will be held at Nya Studios East, a landmark creative space in downtown Los Angeles. Originally built as the headquarters of the Los Angeles Times in 1912, the building has been reimagined into a contemporary hub for art, media and culture.

“Los Angeles is a critical gateway for global trade, with its ports, infrastructure and logistics network driving the movement of goods between Asia, the U.S. and beyond,” said Megan Creecy-Herman, West Region President for Prologis. “GROUNDBREAKERSTM brings together industry leaders for a focused conversation on the challenges of global logistics and the innovative solutions companies and individuals are pioneering around the world.”

Southern California’s Supply Chain: Powering U.S. Markets

Southern California is Prologis’ largest market, encompassing 551 modern logistics facilities and approximately 125 million square feet across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties. Every day, Prologis and its facilities support nearly 800 companies operating in the region, representing 125,000 local jobs. The company’s portfolio and commitment to sustainable logistics help ensure Southern California remains a key gateway of commerce between the U.S. and the rest of the world.

California’s ports handle more than 40% of the nation’s container imports, and over $659 billion in outbound shipments move through the state, according to the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz).

“California is an international economic powerhouse, home to the fifth-largest economy in the world. Maintaining our position as a hub of trade and commerce is key to that,” said Dee Dee Myers, Senior Economic Advisor to Governor Newsom and GO-Biz Director. “We’re thrilled to welcome GROUNDBREAKERSTM back to California, supporting an industry pioneer that is innovating trade globally and providing an opportunity to showcase the resilience of Los Angeles in the wake of the devastating wildfires.”

“Los Angeles, home to the nation’s busiest container port complex, is proud to host titans of industry as they reimagine the future of trade,” said Gene Seroka, Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles. “Our city is a critical gateway for global commerce, ensuring goods reach markets and doorsteps worldwide. It’s only fitting that the brightest minds in supply chain gather here to foster the important conversations that will drive the industry forward.”

GROUNDBREAKERSTM has previously been held in London, New York and San Francisco. To date, conference content has been viewed more than 3 million times globally. The 2025 agenda and speaker lineup will be announced later this summer. Previous speakers have included former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, FedEx Chairman Fred Smith, Home Depot President and CEO Ted Decker, UPS CEO Carol B. Tomé, Schneider Electric Chairman Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Formula E Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer Alberto Longo and Prada Executive Deputy Chairman Paolo Zannoni.
