Prologis is the #1 real estate investment trust (REIT) on the Corporate Knights 2022 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World list.

The Global 100, which showcases the sustainability performance of the world’s top 1 percent of publicly traded companies, is widely considered one of the most reputable sustainability rankings.

This is Prologis’ thirteenth appearance on the list.

“Prologis takes ESG seriously and we are doing our part to help our customers and communities create a more sustainable future,” said Edward S. Nekritz, Prologis chief legal officer and ESG head. “We invest significant resources into our ESG program, including initiatives that focus on green building, worker training and renewable energy. It’s gratifying to have our commitment recognized by the Corporate Knights’ Global 100 list.”

An Industry Leader in Sustainability

  • Prologis was the first logistics real estate company with an approved Science-Based Target (SBT) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and drive greater operational efficiency to fit the future low-carbon economy.
  • Prologis facilities around the world are preparing to meet the mandate of a low-carbon future through innovative approaches that include  building electrification, sustainability certifications on 100 percent of new development and redevelopment, and the following 2025 targets: 100 percent LED lighting across the company’s portfolio, 400 megawatts of installed onsite solar, and 100 percent carbon-neutral construction globally.
  • Prologis’ in-progress development of turnkey electric vehicle (EV) solutions is crucial to the infrastructure its customers will need as they transition to EV fleets.
  • The Prologis Community Workforce Initiative (CWI) is helping strengthen the supply chain by providing worker training in key labor markets. CWI aims to equip 25,000 individuals with the skills necessary for jobs in transportation, distribution and logistics by the end of 2025. Prologis also established a certification in partnership with the Association of Supply Chain Management to help logistics workers enhance their careers.
