Prologis in New Jersey and New York

A Local Presence with Purpose

Since 2005, Prologis has been a committed partner in the New Jersey–New York region—supporting local industries, investing in infrastructure, and giving back through community engagement. We’ve volunteered with Cathy’s Kids Foundation, Operation Backpack, City Harvest, Rocking the Boat, the Branch Brook Park Alliance, and the Newtown Creek Alliance. We support events like the Bayonne Hometown Fair and Maywood 5K, and partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, and United Way’s Help for Children. Our solar and redevelopment efforts earned EPA recognition for transforming the former PJP Landfill into a thriving logistics hub. This initiative is part of our broader investment in New Jersey community solar, helping expand clean energy access across the state.

Sustainable Development

Sustainability is core to our mission. Prologis is the world’s top-ranked REIT for sustainability and No. 2 in the U.S. for onsite solar. All eligible new developments meet LEED or BREEAM standards. In Bayonne, we invested $40 million to transform a former industrial site—demonstrating how we turn underused land into long-term community assets. We’re scaling our renewable energy efforts, expanding community solar in New York and New Jersey, and targeting net-zero emissions across our value chain by 2040.

Committed to Sustainability

We have a long record of sustainable development. Our business has always been grounded in understanding and working with the local community. Our community relationships are based on mutual value creation, trust and respect.

Today, Prologis has the highest-quality logistics real estate available—and we keep pushing forward. When we decide to take on a challenge, we set ambitious goals. That’s why we’ve committed to achieving net-zero emissions in our operations by 2030 and across our value chain by 2040. This meaningful work supports our customers in their transition to efficient energy and sustainable operations.

Our employees worldwide donated more than 19,700 hours to community organizations in 2024.

Prologis is at the forefront of solar and green energy, surpassing 600 MW of installed solar and storage capacity across our portfolio.

We’ve installed LED lighting across 100% of eligible new developments and redevelopments and integrated cool roofs to reduce summertime energy use.
