The Institute for Market Transformation and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Alliance has again awarded Prologis for its ongoing sustainability solutions.
Prologis has been recognized as one of 2021’s Best Places to Work in CRE by GlobeSt.com. Each year, the publication honors the most respected and rewarding workplaces in commercial real estate. This year, GlobeSt.com highlighted Prologis’ strong focus on community engagement and the acceleration of its digital transformation.
The publication’s annual awards acknowledge the best of the best in private equity real estate throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe.
Prologis, FIBRA Prologis and Nippon Prologis REIT have earned a place in S&P Global’s 2021 Sustainability Yearbook. While more than 7,000 companies were considered for inclusion, only 631 were chosen based on their S&P Global ESG Scores and 2020 Corporate Sustainability Assessment. Prologis’ 2020 sustainability performance ranks within the top 15% of the real estate category.
For the fifth consecutive year, Prologis has been named to Japan’s ‘Best Workplaces’ ranking by the Great Place to Work® Institute. Companies included in the annual ranking are measured by the institute’s For All™ methodology—an evaluation of a company’s leadership effectiveness, values and trust amongst employees, innovation and financial growth.
The rigorous assessment by Toronto-based Corporate Knights looked at how 8,080 publicly traded companies measured up against global industry peers on a suite of 24 key performance indicators, including clean revenue, clean investment, carbon productivity and percentage of board gender diversity. Prologis has been named to the list 12 times.
The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (Nareit) has awarded Prologis its 2020 Industrial Leader in the Light for the ninth consecutive year. The highest sustainability recognition in the REIT industry, Leader in the Light honors companies for their superior ESG initiatives and portfolio-wide energy use practices.
CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) has named Prologis to its prestigious 2020 Climate Change A List for its actions to mitigate climate risks and contribute to a low-carbon economy. The A List recognition also applies to Prologis’ listed entities FIBRA Prologis and Nippon Prologis REIT (NPR). The A List places Prologis in the top 3% of 9,600 companies across the globe.
The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) recognized Prologis’ listed entity, Nippon Prologis REIT (NPR), as a publicly listed Industrial Sector Leader among global and Asian respondents, while Prologis took the top-two rankings for industrial funds in the Americas: FIBRA Prologis and Prologis (PLD). Prologis’ UK Logistics Venture fund ranked #1 among private industrial funds in the UK, while the Prologis Brazil Logistics Venture fund and the Prologis China Core Logistics Fund both took the top rankings on their first-ever responses. Green Stars are GRESB’s highest recognition of outstanding ESG performance.
Prologis’ commitment to sustainable business practices has earned the industry-leading logistics REIT a place on the World Index for the second consecutive year, with Nippon Prologis REIT (NPR) making the list for the first time. Prologis is on the North America Index for the 13th consecutive year; FIBRA Prologis is on the MILA Pacific Index for the 4th consecutive year; and NPR is on the Asia Pacific Index for the 6th consecutive year.
For its continued commitment to corporate citizenship, Prologis has been selected by Points of Light and CSR Solutions of Colorado as a Civic 50 honoree. Each year, 50 companies are chosen based on how they positively impact their communities.
Prologis’ Investor Relations department, led by SVP Tracy Ward, received the No. 1 team ranking. Prologis chairman and CEO Hamid R. Moghadam and Prologis chief financial officer Thomas S. Olinger also received No. 1 rankings in the CEO and CFO categories. Institutional Investor added a category for communication during COVID-19, and Prologis ranked #1. For the second year in a row, Prologis was among the 137 most-honored companies.
Prologis again ranked #3 for onsite solar installations and #8 overall for commercial solar capacity in the latest report from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Prologis is also the top real estate company on the list.
GlobeSt.com’s 2020 Industrial Influencers Include Prologis’ Martina Malone of Strategic Capital, Global Insights & Research Team
Prologis’ Martina Malone of Strategic Capital and the Global Insights & Research team have been named Industrial Influencers by GlobeSt.com. The publication chose people, teams and organizations whose skill and expertise helped shape the industrial real estate space over the past year.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has awarded Prologis with the 2020 Leadership Award for ESG. This year, the institution recognized eight Leadership Award recipients whose work across Latin America puts them at the forefront of green building. These leaders have made significant strides in green building design and construction, innovative waste management solutions, and ESG performance.
Chris Chen, Managing Director and Associate General Counsel, and Megan Creecy-Herman, Senior Vice President of Operations, have been honored as Women of Influence by GlobeSt.com. The designation is awarded to women who have made a distinctive mark in commercial real estate through their career achievements, community outreach and mentorship within the industry.
Hamid Moghadam, Chairman and CEO, has been included on Commercial Observer’s 2020 Power 100 and is the second highest ranking newcomer to the list. This year, the ranking goes beyond the industry of commercial real estate and includes individuals who the publication believes will lead the city, the state and the nation’s real estate out of the coronavirus crisis and into a better tomorrow.
FIBRA Prologis earned top rankings within the real estate and small cap categories for Best CEO, Best CFO, Best Investor Relations Professional, Best Investor Relations Team, Best Investor Relations Program and Best ESG Metrics. The group also received the ‘Most Honored’ designation, which is reserved for organizations that achieve a top-three ranking in all six categories.

Prologis Named Top Real Estate Company on 2020 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World List
In its eleventh appearance on the Corporate Knights’ list, Prologis also ranked sixth among U.S. companies and #26 overall. Companies are measured against 21 key performance indicators, including greenhouse gas emissions, clean revenue, leadership diversity and earnings.
In partnership with Statista Inc., Newsweek evaluated 2,000 organizations based on environmental, social and corporate governance factors. Due to its ongoing commitment to ESG, Prologis garnered a spot on Newsweek’s inaugural “America’s Most Responsible Companies 2020” list.

Specifically, the organization called out Prologis’ efforts to reduce carbon emissions, use its global platform to develop additional environmental programs and, through its Community Workforce Initiative, provide training in logistics and job placement to people in underserved communities.
