Behind Suzhou, Wuxi is the second-largest city in Jiangsu province. A center of heavy industry, Wuxi is home to companies in the machinery and petrochemical industries. Wuxi is also one of China’s leading destinations for internal tourism, with Taihu Lake, China’s largest freshwater lake, being the largest attraction.

Logistics and distribution play an important role in Wuxi’s economy. Wuxi sits at the nexus of several rail freight lines and major highways, including the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway. The port of Jiangyin, a deep-water port on the Yangtze River, is about 25 miles away.

The Wuxi region is home to three state-level industrial development zones, specializing in information technology and electronics. Demand for industrial property and warehouses in Wuxi is driven by consumer demand from the region’s comparatively wealthy population, domestic and international trade, and industry.

Prologis has available warehouses in Wuxi and operates industrial warehouse properties throughout the Wuxi region.
