Prologis Launches Car-Sharing Website in Hungary

Prologis has launched a car-sharing website for its Budapest M1, Sziget, Harbor and Gyál parks. The aim of the new online community is to enable people who work at these parks to carpool to and from work as a means to build relationships and reduce environmental impacts. If laughter truly is the best medicine, carpooling might also have hidden health benefits. According to the popular UK ride-sharing service Liftshare, 70 percent of users report laughing out loud during a shared ride.

Park customers are encouraged to register as drivers or passengers, thereby building viable car-sharing communities. Multi-channel promotional materials under the themes “Sharing is Caring” and “Share the Laughter” promote ride-sharing. The service is on a private platform available only to Prologis customers and their employees.

The new service supports Prologis’ mission to promote sustainability, as well as create flexible and innovative solutions that serve the needs of our customers. Based on a survey by Forsense Institute Hungary, 90 percent of Hungary’s automobile drivers care about the environment.
