Prologis Grows in Tokyo
The development projects will comprise three new multi-story logistics facilities:
Prologis Park Chiba New Town, 1.4 million square feet (128,000 square meters) – The inaugural facility to be developed at this park is located ideally for customers’ business continuity plans, being near several data centers in the area and proximity to Tokyo.
Prologis Park Yoshimi, 1.1 million square feet (105,000 square meters) – Adjacent to the Ken-O Expressway on the northwest side of Tokyo, the three-story facility will be equipped with a solar rooftop system and will be designed for CASBEE "A" certification.
Prologis Park Narashino 5, 695,000 square feet (65,000 square meters) – Located about 12 miles (20 kilometers) from central Tokyo, Narashino is a popular distribution hub for e-commerce customers. The four-story facility will feature energy-efficient lighting and a solar rooftop system.
“Despite the space constraints of the Tokyo market, we continue to secure parcels of land and leverage our development expertise to provide high-quality properties in key locations,” said Mike Yamada, president, Prologis Japan. The company owns and manages approximately 22.9 million square feet (2.1 million square meters) of logistics and distribution space in the country. Learn more about our Japan platform.
