Poland Picks Up the Pace
In April, Prologis sealed an agreement with Tradis, a distributor of food and cosmetics throughout Poland, to build a 197,000 square foot (18,300 square meter) facility at Prologis Park Wrocław V, one of the company’s newest and most advanced distribution parks, located in southwestern Poland. The customer will occupy building 3 in the park.
Then in June, the company landed another build-to-suit agreement, this time for EKO Holding, a leading Polish grocery retailer, for a 376,000 square foot (34,900 square meter) facility at the same park, building 4. The facility will be submitted for BREEAM certification upon completion. At full build-out, Prologis Park Wrocław V will provide more than 3.1 million square feet (290,000 square meters) of Class-A logistics space.
"As the fourth build-to-suit at this park in less than two years, this transaction further highlights the strategic importance of Prologis Park Wroclaw V as a key logistics location," said Ben Bannatyne, managing director, Prologis Central & Eastern Europe. "Supply chain consolidation and a rapidly growing consumer class continue to drive demand for logistics infrastructure in Central and Eastern Europe."
