“Once again, we had the pleasure of selecting recipients from a broad pool of incredibly talented and motivated individuals—in fact, the diversity of this year’s candidates was especially impressive, and we hope to see even more applicants throw their hats into the ring next year,” said Kim Snyder, president of Prologis’ West Region and NAIOP’s vice chair for sponsorship. “We are thrilled these individuals will be able to sharpen their industry knowledge through NAIOP’s outstanding education courses and participate in I.CON, the industry’s most prominent industrial conference.”

Prologis managing director Gayle Starr added: “Diverse teams are better able to serve clients and build stronger companies and, at Prologis, we believe the best workplaces are those where all employees have an equal opportunity to succeed. We are pleased to partner with NAIOP to raise awareness around this critical issue to help to ensure the future strength of our industry and bolster our own company-wide inclusion and diversity initiatives.”

Each of the recipients will have the opportunity to earn the NAIOP Certificate of Advanced Study in Commercial Real Estate Development at no cost, a comprehensive program built on core competencies critical to success in the development industry and delivered through courses in the NAIOP Center for Education. Recipients will also travel to I.CON West 2019: The Industrial Conference (June 6-7, Long Beach, California), where they’ll meet with industry mentors and connect with industrial real estate leaders from across North America.

“NAIOP is proud to partner with Prologis to support a program that recognizes the diverse professionals who enrich the industry with their dedication and talent,” said NAIOP president and CEO Thomas J. Bisacquino. “NAIOP has long held the belief that fostering diversity is critical to the success of the industry, and we’re confident that the education and mentorship opportunities the scholarship recipients receive through NAIOP will continue to benefit them as they build their careers.”
