Hamid’s Advice for the Next Generation

The Prologis CEO sat down with about 30 kids in the San Francisco office. He answered questions such as “What did you want to be when you grew up?” and “How do you measure success as a company?” with candor, humor and humility.

Moghadam says it’s good to have a plan but cautions, “Plans never work out quite the way you think and you have to adapt and change over time.”  He doesn’t think a company should measure its success based on size but on quality. “By trying to be really good, you tend to get really big. When you try to be big, you usually don’t end up being good.”

He closes with an entrepreneurial message “Be yourself, do what you like and think for yourself.”
