What does the future of real estate look like? If you ask the students from Project Destined who visited our San Francisco headquarters, it’s bold. The visit was part of our broader effort to attract early talent to help shape what’s next for our company and the industry.
The event welcomed students from over a dozen schools, including:
- California State University – Stanislaus
- Cypress College
- Minerva University
- Pasadena City College
- Rutgers University
- Santa Clara University
- University of California, Berkeley
- University of California, Los Angeles
- University of California, San Diego
- University of California, Santa Barbara
- University of Southern California

Mentorship in Action
During their day-long visit, students toured the company’s global headquarters, participated in interactive discussions and met with Prologis leaders who shared personal career journeys and business insights. These firsthand conversations are central to Project Destined's approach, which blends project-based learning with mentorship to prepare students for careers in the field.
Prologis team members offered perspectives on everything from real estate development to capital deployment to career growth. Their stories reflected the core of the company’s culture: people-first, future-focused and grounded in purpose.
- Global Head of Customer Led Development Damon Austin and Director of Customer Led Solutions Justin Sharp shared insights from real-world development projects.
- Chief Investment Officer Joseph Ghazal and Vice President of Investment Janet Galvez discussed Prologis’ data-driven investment strategy—how we anticipate trends like e-commerce and supply chain shifts, and move quickly thanks to deep local market insight.
- Elizabeth Chan and Desi Warren, both Project Destined alumni and now analysts at Prologis, shared their career journeys and how they’re continuing to grow in the real estate industry.

I had the pleasure of joining for closing remarks and left genuinely inspired by the students’ curiosity and ambition. It was a meaningful reminder that investing in future talent—both inside and outside our walls—is core to who we are at Prologis. A big thank-you to Project Destined for their partnership—and to Whitnie Goins, our HR strategy and partnerships manager, for helping bring this visit to life.
At the end of the day, this wasn’t just about showing students what we do—it was about showing them who we are and what’s possible.
