- In Germany, a hybrid solar system provides power to our customer and the local electric grid.
- In the Netherlands, a building with a ‘self-healing’ concrete floor uses bacterial spores to repair cracks, reducing the need for steel reinforcement.
- In North Texas, a battery storage facility helps power over 2,400 households.
- In Southern California, North America’s largest EV truck charging hub charges up to 300 trucks daily.
- In Japan, a disaster prevention plaza at Prologis Park Inagawa serves as a critical emergency response hub for the community.
Those are just a handful of examples of how we’re advancing sustainability and making a global impact. Our 2024–25 Global Impact & Sustainability Report details all that we are doing to lift communities and build a smarter, more sustainable future. Here are five key takeaways from this year’s report:
1. Moving on Net Zero
We’re making progress toward our goal to achieve net-zero emissions across our value chain by 2040. Our Net Zero Action Plan prioritizes renewable energy deployment, emissions reduction, carbon tracking and supplier engagement. In 2024, we reduced our total emissions by 36% compared to our 2019 baseline.
2. Scaling Clean Energy Solutions
Energy is making headlines—as power providers worldwide race to meet rising demand. Prologis is stepping up by scaling sustainable infrastructure and energy solutions that support our customers and communities. Roughly a quarter of our global portfolio—more than 300 million square feet, or the equivalent of over 5,000 football fields—is certified sustainable space. We’ve achieved more than 626 megawatts (MW) of solar and energy storage capacity–enough to power more than 100,000 U.S. homes. Finally, over the last year, we grew EV charging capacity across our portfolio four-fold. To date, we have electrified more than 10 million miles.
3. Driving Community Impact
We’re proud to support the communities that make our work possible. In 2024, we committed $5.3 million to programs that expand opportunity—supporting job training, meeting essential needs and helping people build better futures. Around the world and close to home, we look for ways to share what we have—like more than 14,000 employee volunteer hours on IMPACT Day, our annual day of service, or donating 120,000 square feet of warehouse space in Los Angeles to help Habitat for Humanity support families displaced by the January 2025 fires.

4. Innovating for Our Customers
We work to stay ahead of what’s next by exploring innovations that allow our customers to operate more quickly and sustainably. Prologis Ventures has invested in 49 early- and growth-stage companies since 2016 to drive innovation in our industry. In 2024, Ventures exited its investment in Timee with a 9x return. The labor platform helps connect our customers in Japan with on-demand logistics workers. In early 2025, we invested in Tangible, a tool that helps builders measure and reduce embodied carbon.
5. Our People. Our Purpose. Our Culture.
In a reflection of our culture, 85% of our employees said they feel engaged in their work in 2024. We see that as a sign of trust, pride and shared purpose across our teams. This Wall Street Journal article profiled our culture and high level of employee engagement as documented by the Drucker Institute, which ranked Prologis in the top 10 for employee engagement and development.
