Prologis wins top sustainability award

NAREIT migrated its 2012 award program framework into the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) platform. All entrants had to complete both the 2012 GRESB survey and the supplemental 2012 Leader in the Light questionnaire to be considered.

“Sustainability is a critical issue and one that has become increasingly important to our industry as well as its investors,” said Steve Wechsler, NAREIT’s president and CEO.

This year award recipients were categorized by sector, rather than being ranked as gold, silver and bronze winners with no sector distinction, as in past years. This is the third year Prologis has received a Leader in the Light award.

Mr. Wechsler presented the award to Tracy Ward, head of Prologis’ Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, on November 14 during REITWorld 2012, the organization’s annual convention in San Diego, California.
