ProLogis has created multiple mixed-use developments in the United Kingdom. U.K.-style mixed-use often involves a substantial industrial component. In fact, undertaking mixed-use is sometimes the only practical way to access new industrial land in what today is a highly land-constrained market.

  • Grange Park, a 500-acre mixed-use site in Northampton that includes residential, industrial and commercial development. After the remediation of a refuse plant and installation of ₤12 million in infrastructure improvements, ProLogis developed an entire community consisting of shops, businesses and distribution centers, which in turn created 1,000 new jobs for the area. ProLogis partnered with local builders to develop the residential portion of the project, which consists of 1,500 residences.
  • ProLogis Park Coventry, a 128-acre project that includes industrial, office and residential development. The industrial section of the park is fully leased to a number of strategic global customers of ProLogis, including Bridgestone, Exel, GEFCO and Tesco.
  • The Bridge, a 264-acre site located just east of central London near the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge in Dartford. The site was the former home of Joyce Green Hospital, which operated for close to a century before closing in the year 2000. When completed, the development will transform the property into a dynamic new community that will include 1.5 million square feet of office space, 1,500 new homes and 670,000 square feet of industrial space. It will also feature a new school, a science park, a business incubator for start-up companies and 80 acres of open space.
