As the leading global provider of distribution facilities, Prologis naturally focuses on environmental stewardship as a key component of its corporate responsibility. We adhere to strict design standards and build our facilities to minimize environmental impact and maximize energy efficiency. Prologis is committed to implementing best practices in sustainable design and construction on its new developments globally.
We typically register our development projects with the intent to seek certification in accordance with recognized standards. These standards include both U.S. Green Building Council’s standards for LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method). In countries where no green building rating system exists, we utilize a global standards checklist based on the leading internationally-recognized rating systems.
Prologis ensures that all our project management activities and the buildings themselves are comprehensively monitored, audited and accredited. We also design and construct each of our buildings to BREEAM standards and to achieve the best EPC ratings possible within its size category.
