Prologis owns and manages 4.3 million square metres of distribution and logistics space in 43 prime locations across Central & Eastern Europe in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. Commanding 26%*of the industrial market share in the CEE, the company is the only industrial developer present in all five countries.

Prologis CEE milestones

  • 1997 – ProLogis establishes CEE office in Warsaw
  • 1998 – ProLogis acquires Warsaw Industrial Center – first industrial park acquisition in the CEE (39,000 square metres)
  • 1999 – ProLogis delivers the first building in Poland, totalling 17,200 square metres, at ProLogis Park Błonie
  • 2002 – ProLogis delivers the first building in Hungary, 20,700 square metres, at ProLogis Park Budapest-Gyal
  • 2002 – ProLogis enters the Czech market through the acquisition of the D1 Logistics Park West & East (120,000 square metres)
  • 2005 – ProLogis acquires Harbor Park in Hungary, totalling 101,987 square metres, including development land allowing for additional development of 50,000 square metres
  • 2006 – ProLogis enters the Romanian market with the acquisition of 56 hectares of land
  • 2007 – ProLogis delivers two facilities in Romania, totalling 54,000 square metres, at ProLogis Park Bucharest A1
  • 2007 – ProLogis makes a major industrial portfolio acquisition in the CEE consisting of 520,000 square metres of existing space, 420,000 square metres under construction and land allowing for 480,000 square metres of development
  • 2007 – ProLogis completes 99,000-square metre facility at ProLogis Park Prague-Jirny – the largest industrial facility in the CEE – fully leased to DHL
  • 2008 – ProLogis delivers the first build-to-suit facility in Slovakia – 25,000 square metres for C&A at ProLogis Park Nove Mesto
  • 2010 – ProLogis CEE breaks its leasing record: more than 1 million square metres in a single year
  • 2011 – ProLogis merges with AMB Property Corporation to become Prologis, Inc., the leading global REIT, with a global platform totalling 55.7 million square metres operating on four continents
  • 2011 – Prologis develops the largest industrial facility in Slovakia to date: Prologis Park Galanta-Gan 4, 94,000 square metres; the entire portfolio in Slovakia (405,000 square metres) is fully leased
  • 2011 – Prologis breaks ground on a 19,100 square metre BTS facility in its new Prologis Park Wrocław V site for UPM Raflatac
  • 2012 – Prologis builds a new 29,150 square metre BTS facility in Prologis Park Prague-Jirny for Globus, one of the largest hypermarket operators in the Czech Republic
  • 2012 – Prologis commences a 47,000 square metre speculative development at Prologis Park Bratislava
  • 2012 – Prologis Poland launches new Development Team that brings together expertise and experience in tailored development projects and its ability to meet the needs of customers
  • 2012 – Prologis develops a second BTS facility comprising 17,800 square metres in Prologis Park Wrocław V for a new customer, Neonet
  • 2013 – Prologis is named to the list of the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland
  • 2013 – Prologis forms the Prologis European Logistics Partners Sàrl fund, a €2.4 billion ($3.1 billion) joint venture with Norges Bank Investment Management, manager of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global
  • 2013 – Prologis signs an agreement to develop an 18,300 square metre BTS facility for Tradis, part of the Eurocash group, at Prologis Park Wrocław V
  • 2013 – Prologis develops its fourth BTS in less than 24 months at Prologis Park Wrocław V: 34,900 square metres for the trade group Eko Holding
  • 2013 – Prologis targeting the Czech Republic, Prologis begins a 22,500 square metre speculative facility at Prologis Park Prague D1 West
  • 2013 – Prologis signs a 15-year lease agreement for a new 13,900-square-metre BTS facility in Prologis Park Bratislava with TOMRA
  • 2014 – Prologis acquires a 16,000 square metre facility in the highly-coveted Prague D1 Zone
  • 2014 – Prologis signs a BTS agreement with Prime Cargo for 11,200 square metres at Prologis Park Szczecin
  • 2014 – Prologis announces construction of speculative development at Prologis Park Wrocław V
  • 2014 – Prologis develops final facility at Prologis Park Wrocław III
  • 2014 – Prologis is named "Industrial Developer of the Year 2014 at the CEE Real Estate Quality Awards Gala
