Community engagement

Prologis supports hundreds of community activities and social causes in its areas of operation. In 2011, Prologis donated more than $1.3 million in cash and in-kind donations to charities and organizations in need. Over 40% of this came from the Prologis Foundation, which was formed in 2001 to support educational and charitable organizations.

Community engagement activities in 2011 included environmental cleanup activities in Japan, volunteering at food banks throughout the United States and bike and foot races in China, Europe and the U.S. to support various charitable causes.

In addition to donating time and money, Prologis provides full-time employees three paid days off each year to volunteer in their communities: two days for company-sponsored events and one day for charitable activities of choice that align with our company’s and our colleagues’ personal values.
