In 2007, Prologis is the first real estate company to join the Chicago Climate Exchange, a voluntary program for measuring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As an Associate Member, Prologis has committed through 2010 to annually calculate and offset 100% of its carbon footprint from office operations and business travel globally.
In 2010, the operational carbon footprint for Prologis (prior to the merger with AMB) equaled 10,253 metric tons CO2e; for AMB, emissions equaled 3,835 metric tons CO2e.
